Hi there! My name is Pistol, well it used to be . You see my foster mom told me she thought Pistol probably really suited me as a young pup. But now, given I am older and a "true gentleman " (whatever that means) she thinks that Ruger, the more distinguished version fits me better:) Ruger, like so many others , was turned into the local shelter when his family could no longer care for him:( Poor little one could not understand what he had done for his life to suddenly change in such a scary way:( And given the shelter was located in a very rural area, his chances for adoption were slim. The shelter staff loved him so they reached out to rescue. And when a LHS foster heard just how long he had been waiting for his furver family , she quickly took him into foster care where he now waits for his fuurever home... could it be yours?? Ruger is an ABSOLUTE sweetie that LOVES to cuddle ! And when he sees you coming, his little tail just wags so! And did I mention, RUGER gives HUGS!!!!! . He is very well mannered and can be trusted to roam free when his foster parents are away:) Ruger does great with other doggies and given his gentle demeanor would likely do well with cats. And like most smaller doggies, Ruger would do best in a home with older considerate kiddos. Ruger is about 5yrs old, weighs about 14 lbs , is neutered, HW negative , up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He is housetrained and crate trained and sleeps quitely in his crate throughout the night. He is also so well mannered he can be trusted to roam free while his foster parents are away:) Soo if you are interested in meeting this sweet little soul, please fill out an application online.
